South Coast - Post Bushfires 2020

After the first round of the 'mega fire' between Batemans Bay and Ulladulla I recorded the following road trip. This split screen view contrast the road about 12 months before the fires and a few days after the road was reopened in late December 2019.

From Ulladulla to Batemans Bay - Late 2019. (running time approx. 3 minutes)

Contrast the above video with this made from footage taken about 1 month later. The 'Mega Fire' between Batemans Bay and Ulladulla has ventured north and west. The Victorian 'Mega Fire' had crossed the border and headed north. This was made a few days after the Highway was re-opened. It shows the extent of the fire from Nowra in the North all the way to Eden. You can view the damage to towns like Mogo, Cobargo and Quaama.

Down Highway 1 - Jan 2020. (running time 17 minutes)

This is the return journey. This trip takes the scenic route along the coast from Eden to Bermagui, then out to the highway at Cobargo. From Moruya we take the scenic route via Moruya Heads, Broulee, Tomakin, Malua Bay, Batehaven to Batemans Bay then straight up the Highway.

Up Highway 1 - Jan 2020. (running time approx. 13 minutes)

Things Pembo Would Say II

From one of our old mates - Slack Mac (as opposed to Flash Mac)

"Shit Bugga Bum, Piss Cock Fart!

Don't give a bugga, dont give a dam!

I can always get another!"

Zombies

Zombies only eat brains!

So your safe!

Heard On Macca

This morning listening to Australia All Over I heard this poem (as I remember it)

The little boy said "Grand Pa sometimes I drop my spoon"

The Old Man said "Sometimes I do too"

The little boy said "Grand Pa sometimes I wet my pants"

The old man said "Sometimes so do I"

The little boy said "Grand Pa, sometimes I just cry"

The old man said "That's alright boy, cause sometimes so do I"

Then the boy said "The worst thing is sometimes the grown-ups don't listen to me"

Then the old man took the child's hand in his and squeezing gently  said "I know exactly how you feel."
