Artfull Project 1

Late last year  (2016)I was involved in the Artful Program – a research effort ran by the Brain and Mind Institute and The Museum of Contemporary Art.

The following are a series of interpretations of the themes explored in each session. Each of these five projects largely feature video as the medium of choice, but the source material (often far removed from the finish product) was the medium pack supplied and themed from the Artful Program.

Personally I found the program to be very beneficial. It gave a structure and direction to my imaginings as it were. In the short term it provided a much needed way of getting motivated.

The images both Video and Stills were captured via my Canon EOS 60D DSLR. Most of the video editing, production and rendering was done using Camtasia Studio. The result being I have gained a much greater understanding and ability to use the product for other projects.

This project was themed on arranging a number of common items (buttons – cardboard etc.) Alice Cooper’s “Welcome to My Nightmare” provided a background soundtrack and inspiration.
